Not every week is as busy as this but every bit of it has been enjoyable.
Tuesday was our Friendship night for February and Jenny was the lucky one to receive her blocks. She so loved the blocks that she choose last year that she decided to have the same again and make it a big quilt for her own bed.
Then there was quilting again on Wednesday. Elizabeth is quilting a friendship quilt from a couple of years ago. This pattern of dresses is not new to our group as Annette was the first to ask for it in 2006 and then we made it again for Sue in 2008. It’s a lovely design for a young girl.
We are all inspired by Annette’s quilt as you go hexagons. Of course her choice of big, bright flowers makes it even more attractive.
Then, to finish off the week I spent the day with my once-a-month Friday group and came away with lots more inspiration. Alison has a last used all the Liberty wools that have been in her cupboard for ages. I don’t know exactly how many quilts she made with them but I know of at least three and she’s finally used them all up
Wendy has been making children’s quilts. You’ve seen this one before but here is another version, this time with a lemon background.
Another child’s quilt by Wendy. What a star!
