Winter has come to Sydney this week with a vengeance but nothing keeps us from a day of quilting together. While several of our group and enjoying the warmth of the northern hemisphere the rest of us enjoyed each others company on a cold winters day.

Jenny worked in her ‘quilt that she works on when she’s got nothing else to quilt’…. And what a quilt it will be when its ever finished.

But she knew that she’d done enough for the day when she sewed the wrong seams together and ended up with a pocket!

Elizabeth amazed us all when she produced her hexagons and began to quilt. This quilt gave her so much grief when she was putting all the hexagons together. It took a lot of unpicking and drawing diagrams to finally get it right. But now she’s on the home stretch.

Pam brought her friendship stars and continued joining them together to make rows.

Bronwen was working on her appliqué centre for her next quilt.

And I’m on the last corner of my ‘Star a Day’ challenge quilt. The end is in sight.
