It’s hot, hot, hot at the moment and many of us are away for various reasons but that doesn’t mean there is nothing happening in the quilting world. Just three of us could a make it this week and still there is plenty to report.

Naomi has begun a new quilt because she needed some hand quilting to take away with her on holidays.

She has also finished piecing this beauty which will be stored away till it gets a border and will go into the long queue of quilts waiting to be quilted.

Elizabeth was quilting her latest friendship quilt.

And I have finished the 4 half-blocks that I need for my latest friendship quilt of stars. Now that I have all the blocks I will put it together but it will need some very careful cutting as I have just enough background fabric and I want to be sure that I get it right and don’t waste any.
