What a day of inspiration. From the moment I walked in to see Bronwen and Naomi on the floor discussing how to quilt Bronwen’s latest there was one surprise after another.
Jenny showed us one of the two baby quilts that she ran up this weekend – very simple but very effective.
Over in the corner Naomi was quietly finishing off this hexagon quilt which features so many ‘uglies’ that it is so good. She has worked almost non stop on this project for the last 3 weeks to put it all together. It’s a stunner!
Sue was working on a lovely bright quilt for her newest granddaughter, Arki. She’ll have it finished soon to take with her when she visits them later in the year.
Bronwen is well in the way to finishing off this one and it won’t be long before she is quilting the one that was on the floor. You’ll notice many similarities between this one and Sue’s. It amazing how the selection of fabrics can make the same basic pattern look so different.
But the star of the day was Margaret who only has to finish sewing on the binding for this one to be completed.
And this is the back of her quilt. Isn’t the big green fabric wonderful?
