Margaret 2015

Margaret 2015

This week we had Wednesday quilting at the beach where Margaret was having a week’s holiday. It’s a beautiful spot with spectacular views when the weather is fine but for most of the day the rain just teemed down in buckets. However, for quilters that’s not much of a problem.

Having finished one quilt last week Margaret is now quilting this one full of beautiful floral fabrics, including her favourite Liberty and some Australian fabrics.

Anne was working away on this one for one of her grandchildren.

At the moment she is quilting it but has stuffed the turtle at the top of the panel as well as part of the starfish in the lower right corner so that it has a real three dimensional quality. It will be a wonderful quilt for a child.

And I put the last stitch in the binding of this little beauty that I’ve made as second prize  in the raffle at the Eastwood Patchwork Quilters exhibition at Brush Farm on the first weekend in May.
