The last month has been hot and busy but now it’s time to get back to the serious business of quiltmaking and documenting the quilts of the past and present.

It’s always uplifting to hear good news and especially to begin our New Year of 2015 on such a happy note. Jenny has a new granddaughter, Zoe Emma, born in December.

On this Animal Quilt Jenny has appliquéd different animals and then has embroidered the background and other details. Make sure you zoom in and check out the detailed and clever backgrounds. Zoe is Jenny’s only granddaughter. She really thought that her family only had grandsons!

Naomi’s flower quilt is finished. You can see the wonderful dragonfly fabric that she used on the back.

And Pam has finally completed this Circle of Leaves friendship quilt that she began in 1994. Ten years………. not a long time when it comes to finishing a quilt.
